This pad is great for someone who does not need a larger size pad but does want a quality product with handy features and really likes the flat folding benefits of the hinge design. It could also be good simply as an extra pad since this pad is just smaller than average size and weight, and folds up so well. The dual carry handles on the top side makes it very streamlined and easy to transport and carry. This would be a great pad to use in conjunction with a larger-sized pad and/or a few..." go to full review

The Session is great as a first pad for a beginner or for an average level boulder and even as part of a collection of pads for an expert. It stores and hauls gear well for long hikes and the size is just big enough to use alone or with a single other similar sized pad to form a fair sized landing zone.go to full review

This pad is best for beginner to expert level boulderers who don't carry the largest of loads but do want to carry a small to medium size load securely and at the same time use its many handy features. The solid foam in the taco-style design is good if you frequent boulders that have a lot of sharp, jagged, rocky landings since a hinge-style pad would be more apt to bottom out...." go to full review

This pad excels at high problems and also works well for lower problems because the foam is relatively soft. This is more for experienced boulderers who want one of these jumbo sized pads in their quiver as well as a small pad. Beginning boulderers or those on a budget will probably want to buy a smaller pad, then later either buy a big pad like this or buy another small pad. The Mad Rock Mad Pad is a good inexpensive pad to start with and they have Velcro attachments to connect them..." go to full review

This pad is ideal for average outings on small to medium sized problems or in conjunction with other pads for highballs. It works well on most terrain except extremely jagged uneven landings where a non hinged pad is often better to conform and cover the sharp rocks or roots.go to full review

Packing gear is easy and secure with ample room inside as well as side and bottom flaps to hold the stuff in. The suspension system is solidly attached with comfortable shoulder straps, chest strap, waist belt and the extremely useful handle between the shoulder straps for loading the pad onto your back in pack-mode. There is also daisy chain webbing on the back of the pad for quick easy attachments of the straps as well as any other gear. The 55" x 35" x 4" size is a fair..." go to full review

From hiking around, finding new zones far off the beaten track at Castle Rock CA to covering sharp wild landings along the Sonoma Coast and in rugged Mendocino County this pad has done it and will do it all. Perfect for solo bouldering excursions or for use as a vital part of any landing zone pad assortment. The solid foam taco design, storage flap for securing a load, along with the center handle for lifting a heavy load all combine to make the Drop Zone one of our favorite go anywhere, do-..." go to full review

These slings are best used in a super lightweight scenario. Extending gear placements on speed ascents, long alpine routes, and super long multi pitch days are all great applications for this sling. Due to the difficulty in untying a weighted knot, it is not recommended that the FinAnneau be used for setting up an anchor.go to full review
