Description

The KAKOON is a hanging tent with an internal hammock devoid of poles, tubes or metal buckles - which keeps the weight to an absolute minimum. Use to rest and recharge on big wall and super alpine routes where a ledge bivouac may be planned but not guaranteed. The KAKOON's place and purpose is to boost freedom and speed by forgoing the comforts of a traditional rigid ledge that weighs 10-14 lbs more. This soft hammock is incredibly light, compact and fully self contained.. it can even be clipped to harness or hauled on the tag line, then deployed to shelter from the weather. The hammocks low stretch laminated "X" fabric is supported by 6 nonabsorbent polyester web straps - which are adjustable at the head and feet. Add your pad for insulation. The fully enclosed tent is waterproof with a big half moon water resistant zipper. Clip your daisy into the spider loop inside, sit down, swing in your legs and relax. If you doze off and catch a few "winks" - you're ahead of the game. Made in California.
