Thingy popper had the thingy on top pop off

Pros
It works well in most aspects
Cons
not a long reach
the flat part above the clip is only glued on and mine fell off as soon as I used it
Familiarity
I’ve used it a bunch

I'm a bit disappointed with Metolius here. It seems to me they just threw a design together and didn't test it. The build quality is low but it works overall. I just wish it was a little longer, easier to hold, and didn't break right away!

Yup, it's a nut tool.

Pros
It's metal
it has a little hooky thing
it has a palm protector
Cons
It's not titanium

Grabbed this thing on the way to my first introduction to trad climbing. No regrets. It works. According to WeighMyRack it maybe could be a little lighter, I guess. But seriously, it's a nut tool. I do like the palm protector. It has saved my hands a great deal of pain.

If the leader takes a whipper, I wouldn't want to be stuck using one of those pieces of stamped sheet metal some people use. Or the one with the knife?!? It does its job and it's done it well for years.

Outdoor Gear Lab Gear Review rating 5/5

There are no gimmicks here with the Torque, just a well-designed little piece of equipment that needs to live on your trad rack. Whether you're new to the game or you're a seasoned "booty master", you can't go wrong with this nut tool.
