Description

Asan is a true Boreal classic. The one-piece 2.8mm leather upper with our unique Dry-Line lining and famous FDS-3 outsole combine to make a boot with reputation for quality and reliability which few can equal. Still sought after by mountain professionals and enthusiasts around the world.

When working with natural leather there is no substitute for experience and at Boreal each hide is individually inspected for the slightest imperfections and is cut by hand to ensure a high quality finish. Asan is non-insulated and so is ideally suited to summer alpine use when highly insulated boots are often too warm, or for lower altitude winter mountaineering in less severe temperatures.

Our unique Dry-Line® lining system is fully waterproof and has superior moisture vapour transfer performance to help keep your feet dry in all weathers. Asan is crampon compatible and is ideal for all season mountain walking including glacier crossings and may also be used for low grade winter climbing. Our proven FDS-3 outsole is co-moulded with three different density rubber compounds and offers unrivalled reliability and grip.
