The Insinct VS-R LV addresses a need and and fills a hole that none of us really realised the Scarpa Instinct range previously had. This is another great Instinct shoe that provides all-around performance, and should fit many of the people who just didn't fit into the original Instinct range. If you're someone who historically hasn't got on with Instincts, but always wanted a pair, then try them on!go to full review

The Circuit Z is the double hinge version of Black Diamond's popular Circuit Pad. The benefit of the double hinge design is that it folds up smaller - which is ideal for those lacking space, whether at home or in the car - whilst folding out to offer an impressive amount of coverage. Light, adaptable, and comfortable to carry, the Circuit Z is a solid pad at a competitive price. But it does have its limitations, which we'll come onto shortly…go to full review

The Edelrid Jay and Jayne offer solid comfort, adjustability, and practical features at an attractive price, making them a great all-round option for indoor, sport climbing, and trad cragging. To be brutally honest apart from the aesthetics of the original it is hard to fault the SIROCCO® range. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so it’s no wonder the SIROCCO glows a little orange from all the praise heaped upon it! Most of the major players now have a helmet that uses a combination of EPP with a rigid polycarbonate shell with perhaps an additional EPS layer beneath the crown. Whether you’re a sport climber, alpine mountaineer, trad aficionado or Scottish winter..." go to full review

Overall climbing wise the SITTA is pretty much the ‘one harness to rule them all’. I can’t see any scenario short of big wall climbing (of which I have no experience) where the SITTA wouldn’t work well. Obviously ski tourers may want a harness that has leg loops that fully unfasten for donning whilst still clipped into their skis but Petzl has them covered elsewhere in their range.go to full review
